Grahovo is located at a distance of 15-minute car-traveling from the sea (a little bit longer, if you use public transport). Within the radius of 50 km, there are three international airports: Tivat and Podgorica (Montenegro) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). Distance to ?abljak ski resort is approx. 100 km.

Houses in Grahovo are turnkey-constructed (in accordance with laws of Montenegro). The construction company undertakes all obligations connected with due diligence and ensuring “purity” of the deal, and guarantees issuance of the property deed for the house and land.

Grahovo settlement at a distance of 17 kilometers from the Bay of Kotor in the Republic of Montenegro used to be a municipality (with the status of a community). Today, the population of Grahovo is not more than 1,500 people. A couple of years ago, the Government of Montenegro adopted the project for construction of a new highway to connect the South and North of the country. As of today, the highway segment accessing Grahovo is complete; the highway is to be finally completed and commissioned in July 2010.

Grahovo has for years attracted both foreign and local developers. The only thing that hindered their activity was absence of a good road (and minor problems resulting from such absence). The locality has a unique microclimate. At an elevation of 700 m above sea level, Grahovo is a place where mountain air and sea air meet and become intermixed. Thanks to environmental friendliness and absence of industry (Montenegro has the status of an ecological state), this is one of the very few places in Europe with really pure air and water.

Irishmen were the first foreigners who displayed an interest in the unique place and began planning the construction of houses in Grahovo of Montenegro. About three years ago they, at their own risk, bought several hectares in the Western portion of “the Grahovo Field” (the name of the valley where Grahovo is located).

In 2007, the DON Russian-and-Montenegrin Non-Governmental Fund was established. One of its primary objectives was urban development of Grahovo (Niksic Community) and construction of a Russian settlement in Montenegro, within Grahovo locality. It is at the initiative of the Fund that the Resolution on “change of the spatial and detailed urbanistic plan for development of Grahovo in the Western portion of the Grahovo Field ” was adopted and published in the “Official Prints of the Republic of Montenegro” (“Sluzbeni list Republike Crne Gore”) No.23/01 in the section of community resolutions
